As the benefits of creating art are gaining recognition, more and more educators are open to incorporating art or creative assignments into their lessons and assessments. For students with Individual Education Plans (IEP's), we believe that some form of creative work can be especially beneficial for two important reasons: building self-esteem and autonomy, and the opportunity to connect multiple meanings and ways of looking at things across subjects; and important part of critical thinking.

Whether you're looking for alternate curriculum suited to an IEP (Individualized Education Plan) or just ways to bring more creative assignments into the classroom, there are endless possibilities in teaching with and through art and creativity.
In the links below you will find some ideas and suggestions for incorporating art and creative work into the regular classroom.
